Ceramic tile manufacturer Lasselsberger, which owns Cesarom on the local market, will invest EUR 14 million by the end of 2013 in the factory in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The company relies on a market share increase of 45 percent, through a gworth of 30 percent in its annual production, said the General Director of Lasselsberger Romania, Christian Morath.

Investments will rise to EUR 4 million this year, said the company's operations director, Edward Macarescu. "Launching  new product lines and upgrading the existing ones will also increase Lasselsberger's market share from 42 percent in 2011 to 45 percent by 2013,” according to Macarescu.

For this year, Lasselsberger expects to maintain the turnover at last year's level, when it stood at around EUR 38.5 million. Romanian brand Cesarom has been part of the Austrian group Lasselsberger since 2004. The ceramic tiles are produced in Cluj, Romania, on five production lines.
