Bucharest City Hall buys 20,500 sleeping bags from small company
The Bucharest City Hall awarded a EUR 140,000 contract, at the beginning of December, for buying 4,056 sleeping bags from Prodtex Model Bucuresti, a company that had only one employee in 2013 and last year.
It is the second contract concluded between this firm and the Bucharest City Hall after Prodtex won a contract of over EUR 571,000 in October 2014 for supplying 16,500 sleeping bags, reports local Profit.ro.
The authorities will use the sleeping bags for civil protection actions.
Following the agreement with the City Hall, the company’s turnover grew by over 12 times to EUR 517,000 in 2014, and the net profit rose from over EUR 26,000 to EUR 208,000 at the end of last year. In 2011 and 2012, the company’s turnover was zero.
