Bucharest ranks second in Europe on office space growth
Bucharest ranks second in Europe, after Istanbul, in terms of the growth rate for office space stock between 2014 and 2016, when over 420,000 sqm are scheduled for delivery, representing about 20% of the existing stock, according to a study by real estate services company Cushman & Wakefield, cited by local Wall-street.ro.
Bucharest also ranks second for the office space absorption rate, after Istanbul, according to the study. Romania will rent yearly between 2014 and 2016 nearly 20% of the stock of office spaces, estimated at over 2.1 million sqm.
About 146,000 sqm of offices will be delivered in Bucharest this year, 125,000 sqm in 2015, and 150,000 sqm in 2016.
