Bucharest spends close to EUR 2 mln for summer camp for youth
The Bucharest City Hall may spend some RON 8.8 million (EUR 1.9 million) on a summer camp at the seaside for young people between 18 and 35.
The municipality’s Youth Center is ready to pay this sum for the accommodation, meals and training courses for the young people who will be sent to the seaside, according to a tender announcement cited by local G4media.ro. The camps will be organized in the Black Sea resorts Neptun, Vama Veche, Costinesti, Venus and Olimp, between August 5 and September 29.
Students and young people between 18 and 35 can join this “summer school” program paid for by the municipality. They get to spend 7 days at the seaside and get three free meals a day within this program.
The Bucharest City Hall also decided to pay some EUR 400,000 to send about 1,000 seniors in an all-inclusive holiday in Greece.
