Bucharest’s Mega Mall attracts record number of visitors

Mega Mall, the shopping center opened in Romania’s capital in May last year, keeps attracting large crowds of visitors.

The shopping center, developed by South-African investment fund NEPI, attracted 400,000 visitors in the first four days after the inauguration and is now welcoming more than 1.8 million people monthly.

Mega Mall, which required an investment of EUR 165 million, has a leasable area of 75,000 sqm, out of a total area of 230,000 sqm.

Built in 15 months, the mall has a current occupancy rate of 99%. It hosts more than 220 shops, restaurants, and entertainment spaces, a World Class fitness center, and a Cinema City with 14 cinema halls and the 4Dx technology.
