Coca-Cola HBC, supported by sales in Romania, Nigeria

The sales of Coca-Cola HBC, the second largest bottler of the US group Coca Cola outside the US, fell by 1% (in volume) in the third quarter compared with the same period last year.

The revenues of Coca-Cola HBC dropped by 1.9% during this period to EUR 1.75 billion.

However, in Romania the group’s sales went up for the seventh consecutive quarter, shows the company's financial report. The volumes sold in emerging markets rose by 1.3%, supported in particular by sales in Romania and Nigeria.

In Romania, the effects of the VAT cut have started to fade, according to the company report.

Coca-Cola HBC owns three factories in Romania, in Ploiesti, Timisoara, and Vatra Dornei, and a network of 14 distribution centers.
