Blake Horsley, the director of the investment division with Colliers in Romania, will leave the firm in March to pursue a regional role for a real estate development company. Horsley, who comes from New Zealand, spent the last five years in Romania working for Colliers and in total has spent nine years with Colliers International.

He took the helm of Colliers Romania's investment division in 2009, and the decision to move to a real estate development company regional “is important in order to achieve my personal goals,” said Horsley.

A semi-professional cricket player in New Zealand, as well as a rugby player, he traded off working for Colliers in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, a city of about 400,000 people (including adjacent area) for a job in Bucharest, the Romanian capital, a city of almost 2 million people. Colliers Romania is one of the largest real estate consultancy companies, having posted a turnover of EUR 3.2 million last year, according to estimates.
