Romanian consumers should be able to receive some of their money back on products they have purchased if they ask for the fiscal bills, and also deduct some repairing works for their homes, once  a law project in works will be enforced. The Finance Ministry is working on a piece of legislation which should be ready in September and which could be enforced in the fourth quarter of the year or at the beginning of next year. This should help fight the small tax evasion, Prime Minister Emil Boc has said. The authorities are yet to announce the threshold for which the value of fiscal bills will be recovered from the state.

This comes soon after the Fiscal Authorities have announced as many as 3,500 companies were suspended for not having issued fiscal bills to their customers and for not owning a cash register.
