New airport in Romania's Brasov may lose its only airline
Dan Air, the sole airline currently operating flights at the newly launched airport in Brasov (central Romania), said it is considering suspending flights from this airport after repeated incidents that led to delays and landings at other airports.
A final decision will be announced on June 27.
Matt Ian David, CEO of Dan Air, told Economica.net that Dan Air could suspend flights from the newly opened Brasov airport.
The decision comes after the incident of June 24, when an aircraft of the company with the route Madrid-Brasov-Bucharest was denied landing for 16 minutes despite adverse weather when landing at Brasov airport due to the fact that the flight control operator Romatsa gave priority to an aircraft taking off. Romatsa claimed this it followed standard procedures.
