Romanian and foreign companies have submitted 32 requests for state aid within the Government’s scheme to support investments with high impact in the economy, the Finance Ministry announced.

The total value of the requested amounts to RON 1.38 billion (almost EUR 300 mln), more than double the funds the state is willing to provide this year, of RON 614 million (EUR 132 mln).

The submitted projects should mobilize total investments worth RON 3.8 billion (EUR 820 million) and create more than 5,200 new jobs.

Of the 32 projects, 18 have been submitted by Romanian companies and 14 by foreign companies. The Finance Ministry said the requests will be analyzed in the same order they were submitted.
