Elbit Systems has recently been awarded a USD 18.6 million contract to upgrade the Romanian Air Forces' C-130 transport aircraft. The C-130 aircraft will be equipped with various types of electronic systems, including those produced by Elbit Systems’ owned subsidiary, Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd.

The project, to be enforced in four years, will be executed in cooperation with local companies in Romania, lead by the Romanian Aeronautical Industry. Elbit Systems Ltd. is an international defense electronics company which has been operating in Romania for the past 15 years. The company’s activities in Romania are mainly carried out through its subsidiaries, Elbit Systeme SA., A-E Electronics SA, Elmet International SRL and Simultec SRL.
