Energy distribution company Enel Distributie Muntenia will invest over EUR 2 million to modernize the electricity distribution network in the Ilfov county, replacing 90 km of network. The 28,500 customers in the area will benefit from greater security in energy supply.

The modernization work, which will be carried out by the end of the year, will allow the network to support a higher consumption by up to 25%. In some areas, the network is 40 years old.

The project is part of an investment program carried out by Enel in Romania to modernize its network.
