Florian Aldea replaces Mihai Rohan at the helm of Carpatcement

Florian Aldea (in picture) is the new general manager of Carpatcement Holding, replacing Mihai Rohan, who has been working with Carpatcement for the last ten years. Rohan will remain president of the Administration Board with Carpatcement Holding for the next two years, starting January 2011.

Florian Aldea has been promoted from the general manager position with Carpat Beton, that he has held for the last four years.  Until January 2011, he will be deputy general manager and work in direct collaboration with Mihai Rohan while taking over his position.

Rohan, who has been working for the last 40 years, plans to slowly retire from operational activities.  Aldea has 21 years of experience in the field, having been head of strategic development projects with Carpatcement Holding and head of the maintenance division with Carpatcement in Fieni.

Florian Aldea, 47, has graduated the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the Polytechnics University in Bucharest and holds an MBA from Assebus. He is also a doctor in Chemical Engineering.

Carpatcement, part of HeidelbergCement, produces cement in Romania. The group also produces concrete and aggregates in the country, where it has invested EUR 400 million so far.
