Foreign direct investment up by over EUR 1 billion in Romania
Foreign direct investment in Romania increased by EUR 270 million in October, reaching EUR 2.784 billion after the first ten months of the year.
The foreign investment rose by almost EUR 1.2 billion compared to the period between January and October last year, according to Romania’s National Bank.
The equity stakes amounted to EUR 2.72 billion in the first ten months of this year whereas the intragroup loans reached EUR 65 million.
Last year, the foreign direct investment totaled EUR 1.591 billion. Equity stakes amounted to EUR 1.598 billion, and the intragroup loans had a negative contribution of minus EUR 7 million.
