French Romanian Audiovisual and Cinema days to focus on digital television in Bucharest event

The French Romanian Audiovisual and Cinema days will be held on October 18 and 19 at Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest, focusing on the transition to digital cinema. This third edition of the event is organized by the Embassy of France and the French Institute in Bucharest, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony and the Ministry of Telecommunications.

The event will gather  several personalities from France, such as Michel Herbillon, deputy vice-president of the Commission for cultural affairs and education within the National Assembly, the author a law on the digital in cinematography, Theirry Fremaux, the general delegate of the Festival from Cannes, Emmanuel Gabla, a member in the National Council of the Audiovisual, Martin Rogard, the creator of Dailymotion, Arnaud NGatcha, the councilor of the president of France Televisions and Agnes Lanoe, the director in charge of the strategy of ARTE canal.

The Romanian guests include Kelemen Hunor, the minister of culture, Alexandru Lazarescu, the president of TVR, Demeter Andras, the president of Radio Romania, Anca Budinschi - the strategy director of ProTV, Sergiu Biris, the director of the site Trilulilu, Andrei Boncea, the general manager of Media Pro Pictures, director Cristian Mungiu- co-founder of Mobra Films, Tudor Giurgiu, the president of the International Film Festival Transylvania, Eugen Serbanescu, the director of the National Center of Cinematography and director Lucian Pintilie.

The previous editions of the event have lead to joint Romanian – French projects, such as the co-production agreements for directors like Fanny Ardant and Claude Lelouch, as well as educational programs for high school students, programs held by Romanian directors.

UPDATE:

The event will start on October 18, at 10,00 hours, being opened by French Ambassador to Romania, Henri Paul, followed by Vasile Timis, state secretary with the Ministry of Culture, and by Michel Herbillon.
