Logistics company Gefco Romania grew its turnover by 44 percent last year on the previous, reaching EUR 32.9 million, the company has announced. Gefco won 56 new projects and 24 new clients last year, including retailer Kiabi, for which the company ensures the transport from France to Romania, as well as the distribution to its outlets in Romania. Gefco is also working with IT&C retailer Electrolux, by delivering its exports to Russia and Poland.

The company plans to expand its activities to Turkey and Russia this year and targets new clients on the auto, IT&C and home appliances segments. Gefco saw its transport activities up last year. Air transport was up almost five-fold compared to 2009, while railway transport, up 32 percent.
