Gral Medical makes EUR 9 mln turnover in eight months, plans eco hospital
Local private health care service operator Gral Medical posted EUR 9 million revenues in the first eight months of the year, exceeding its expectations for the entire 2010, the company has announced.
The company had increased its six-month revenues by 30 percent compared to the same period of last year and hopes to start its development and expansion plans by the end of the year, said Robert Serban, shareholder in Gral Medical.
The company has started a EUR 27 million investment program with the opening of an oncology private clinic – OncoFort. The investment in this first clinic was of EUR 3.5 million. Gral Medical will also open its Gral Hospital near its Diagnosis Center in Alba Iulia Square in Bucharest. This will be the first ecological hospital in the country, the company has said.
Construction works on this project will start in 2011 and the hospital will become functional in 2013.
Gral Medical runs 17 medical centers in Romania, out of which ten laboratories, four clinics, a medical imagining center and two radiology centers in Bucharest, Prahova, Dolj, Sibiu and Arges.
Gral Medical is controlled by Robert Stefan and his wife Georgeta Serban.
