Groupama Asigurari appoints François Coste new GM for Romania
Insurance company Groupama Asigurari named François Coste as new general manager for the Romanian subsidiary. He will replace Sanda Nicoară after receiving the green light from the Insurance Supervisory Commission (CSA). Sanda Nicoară, who has held Groupama’s general manager position since November 2010, will return to the post of deputy general manager of the company.
François Coste previously worked at Michelin, between 1982 and 1999, and then at the insurance company AXA for 12 years, until October 2011.
French insurance company Groupama came to Romania in 2007, buying BT Asigurari from Banca Transilvania for about EUR 100 million. Later the insurer also bought OTP Garancia and Asiban.
