GTS Telecom ups profit in Romania, posts EUR 20 mln turnover in 'market affected by regulatory voice price changes'
Infrastructure–based provider GTS Telecom ended 2012 with revenues of EUR 20 million and an EBITDA profit (before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of EUR 5 million in Romania. The profit was up 10 percent versus 2011, according to the company.
“Business was challenging in 2012 in Romania [...]. We closed the year with good operating results which have positioned us well for 2013. We plan to increase our prior investments in cloud services (IaaS) and smartly expand our network to address our customer needs,“ said Michael Rees, Managing Director of GTS Telecom (in picture). The company said the turnover represented a “good result in a market affected by regulatory voice price changes and slower EU/public funds expenditure.”
GTS Telecom provides national and international solutions for data transport, voice, internet access, cloud services and collocation in its own data centers in Bucharest, where it has 130 employees.
