Hilton Worldwide affiliates DoubleTree hotel in Ploiesti
A new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel will be opened in Romania this year, at Ploiesti, joining another one planned for Bucharest, which is scheduled for opening also for this year. The hotel in Ploiesti will be based on a franchise contract, with an existing unit in the city being revamped and converted into the Hilton brand. The hotel has 242 rooms, two restaurants, a bar and a terrace, a fitness center, a pool, spa center with treatment halls.
DoubleTree by Hilton plans to open three hotels in Romania, in Oradea, Bucharest and Ploiesti. “We have allotted development resources for Romania, which is an important market in our European development plans,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president development, Europa and Africa, Hilton Worldwide. Hilton Worldwide also runs Hilton Sibiu and Hilton Athenee Palace Bucharest.
