H&M opens store in Baneasa Shopping City in spring 2011
H&M fashion retailer will open the first store in Romania in 2011, according to a recent report published by the company. Romania and Croatia will be new H&m countries in spring 2011, writes the report. “Croatia and Romania will become new H&M countries with openings in Zagreb and Bucharest during the spring of 2011,” according to H&M.
This is the first time the fashion retailer is officially announcing a date for its Romanian market entry. Local media has been writing about discussions between H&M representatives and various developers with retail projects in Romania, among which Anchor Group, which runs Bucuresti Mall and Plaza Romania, and Sonae Sierra, which will build ParkLake Plaza.
The fashion retail is yet to announce a location for its first store in Romania.
UPDATE: Baneasa Shopping City will host H&M's first store in Romania, the shopping center representatives have announced. The store will be placed on two floors, connected through elevator and escalators.
