Homeycomb leases second floor of Nord City Tower office building in Northern Bucharest
Online home and deco retailer Homeycomb has signed a long-term lease agreement for the second floor of Nord City Tower office building in Northern Bucharest.
With a total leasable area of around 900 sqm, the company behind homeycomb.ro will become the fourth new tenant of the building in the past year, following Tymbark and TBI Credit, as well as Sodexo, which operates the building’s canteen.
Following the transaction, the building’s occupancy rate went up to more than 50 percent, from 18 percent in the first quarter of 2012, according to real estate consulting company DTZ Echinox, which brokered the deal.
They join three other companies located in Nord City Tower for more than five years, namely Puma, Fokker and Strabag Water Technologies.
Other new tenants could soon move into the building, as negotiations are currently underway for office surfaces ranging from 250sqm to 1,500sqm, according to the DTZ Echinox.
Homeycomb.ro is the largest private online shopping club in Romania in the field of home decorations, design and fashion.
The selection of Homeycomb’s specialists includes brands such as Versace, Emporio Armani, Beverly Hills Polo Club, Pezzani, Bergers, Serge Lesage, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Dunhill, Hugo Boss, Italsofa, Porsche Design.
Nord City Tower, owned by ING, was completed in 2007 and was extensively updated between 2012 and 2013.
The building is medium-sized, having about 13,000 sqm of total built area and 9,120 sqm of rentable area, of which about 8,000 sqm is office space, the rest being suitable for retail use.
