Romania’s Summer Well music festival has announced the first five bands that will go on stage at this year’s edition of the event.

English synthpop duo Hurts will perform in Romania this summer. The band, formed in 2009, consists of singer Theo Hutchcraft and synthesist Adam Anderson. Hurts have released three albums so far, namely Happiness (2010), Exile (2013), and Surrender (2015). Find more about the band here.

Another band that will play at the 2016 edition of Summer Well is The 1975, a British alternative rock band formed in Manchester. The group consists of Matthew Healy (vocals, guitar), Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums, backing vocals), and Ross MacDonald (bass). Read more information about The 1975 here.

The other three bands that will perform at the music festival this August are Years & Years, The Neighbourhood, and Sundara Karma.

Summer Well will take place on the Stirbey Domain in Buftea, near Bucharest, on August 13 and 14. Two-day subscriptions are on sale for RON 195 (EUR 43) plus taxes and can be purchased online here.
