Sporting goods retailer Intersport opens on Thursday (October 3) a new store in Romania. The new unit is located in the newly opened AFI Palace shopping mall in Ploiesti and is the retailer’s second store in the city and 23rd in the country.

With a total sales area of around 400 sqm, the new Intersport store is located on the ground floor of the shopping mall.

Intersport is present in 42 countries with more than 5,400 stores worldwide. Some of the brands sold in Intersport stores are Nike, Adidas, Puma, Converse and Columbia.

The retailer opened its first store in Romania in 2004 and currently runs 22 units across the country.
