How many legal days off in Romania in 2018?
There will be 14 legal days off in Romania next year, but only 11 of them are working days, the rest being Saturdays or Sundays.
The first official free days are January 1 and January 2 (Monday and Tuesday), followed by the Day of the Romanian Principalities Unification on January 24 (Wednesday).
The first and second day of Orthodox Easter will also be days off in Romania, namely April 8 and April 9 (Sunday and Monday), as well as May 1 – the Labor Day (Tuesday). The Pentecost will be celebrated on May 27-28 (Sunday and Monday), followed by the Children’s Day on June 1 (Friday), and the Assumption of Mary on August 15 (Wednesday).
November 30, St. Andrew’s Day, will also be a day off in Romania (Friday), followed by December 1, the National Day of Romania (Saturday). The first and second days of Christmas will be the last days off in 2018 (Tuesday and Wednesday).
