Snacks and chips producer Standard Snacks has entered insolvency at the request of Piraeus Leasing, to whom the snacks producer owes EUR 100,000. Standard Snacks' judiciary administrator is Casa de Insolventa Transilvania.

Standard Snacks was expecting to post EUR 16.5 million in turnover for this year, according to previous announcements, up 10 percent on last year.

Standard Snacks, a Romanian business, hires 400 staff. The company produces and distributes snacks, chips, popcorn, pretzels, breakfast cereals, among others.
