Local telecom operators announce prices for the new iPhone 7 in Romania

Orange and Vodafone, the biggest mobile carriers in Romania, have already announced the prices of the new iPhone 7 smartphones and started taking pre-orders on Friday morning, September 16. Telekom Romania hasn’t released the prices yet.

The iPhone 7 will be available at local telecom operators starting September 23.

Vodafone Romania has the lowest price for the iPhone 7, EUR 49 for the 32GB memory version. However, in order to get this discount of almost EUR 700 compared to the base price, clients will have to sign a 2-year Super RED 89 subscription and pay EUR 89 per month for Vodafone services in the next two years. The subscription comes with unlimited national calls, 12 GB of mobile internet in Romania and 2 GB of mobile internet in Roaming, and international and roaming calls totaling 2,000 minutes.

The iPhone 7 price goes up for lower value subscription plans. For the Super RED 69 subscription, the same iPhone 7 (32GB) costs EUR 234, for the Super RED 49 subscription, the price goes up to EUR 354, and for the Super RED 35, the price is EUR 469.

The cheapest iPhone 7 in the Orange network is EUR 429, for the same 32 GB memory version. This comes with a 2-year Orange Me 42 subscription worth EUR 42 per month. The subscription includes 6GB of 4G mobile internet traffic per month and some 500 MB of internet traffic in roaming, plus unlimited national calls, 500 minutes of international calls, and 2,000 minutes of roaming calls.

The price of the device increases to EUR 539 for the Orange Me 30 subscription and to EUR 559 for the Orange Me 25 subscription. Vodafone also sells the iPhone 7 for EUR 559 with the Super RED 25 subscription.

The base price for the iPhone 7 32 GB without subscription is EUR 744 at Vodafone and EUR 749 at Orange.
