The Bucharest Stock Exchange will be closed on December 24, on Christmas Eve, and on December 31 - New Year’s Eve, the market operator’s board has decided.

The last trading day before Christmas will be December 23, which falls on a Tuesday, which allows brokers and investors to take a five-day Christmas holiday, as the trading resumes on Monday, December 29. Tuesday, December 30, will also be a trading day, the last of this year.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange will then be closed for another five days, from December 31 until January 4.

The first trading day in 2015 will be January 5.
