Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and the largest air carrier in Romania, operated its first flight from Bucharest to Tenerife on Wednesday morning.

A total of 151 passengers were boarded on an Air A320 aircraft with 180 seats.

Wizz Air will operate the flight to Tenerife weekly. The prices start from RON 300 (EUR 66.6).

Wizz Air currently operates flights from 10 local airports to 18 countries on 122 routes. The company transported more than 5.3 million passengers between November 2015 and October 2016 to and from Romania.

The airline operates a fleet of 73 Airbus A320 and A321 airplanes, and provides more than 450 routes from 26 bases.
