Minister of Interior says Romania needs new IMF loan
The Romanian Minister of Administration and Interior Vasile Blaga (in picture) believes Romania needs a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund, which means a new loan, but this was not discussed in the Government. Blaga, who made the statement is a TV show on Sunday morning, said he was convinced this possibility has been discussed within the Finance Ministry and the Romanian Central Bank. He says it was preferable for those with articulate thoughts to lend money with a low interest from the Fund and from the internal and external market. If it were not for the IMF deal, Romania would be unable to get money from the external markets, said Blaga, pointing out to the situations in Spain and Portugal.
