Mondelez Romania, one of the biggest players on the local confectionery market, wants to sell the factory where the Poiana chocolate was produced.

The price for the buildings and the 13,000 sqm plot located in Brasov amounts to EUR 2.1 million (without VAT), reports local Ziarul Financiar.

The company also sold its candy factory in Brasov to Lidl one and a half year ago.

Mondelez (the former Kraft Foods) entered the market in Romania at the beginning of the 90s and bought the company Poiana in Brasov and its two factories. In 2009 the company closed the Poiana factory and moved the production lines to Bulgaria.
