National Geographic Channel gets EUR 1 mln contract to promote Bucharest and Romania
Bucharest and Romania’s tourism brand will be promoted on National Geographic Channel in 10 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain and Russia, via a documentary and several short films, according to Hotnews.ro.
The films will also be broadcasted by National Geographic in Spain, Poland, Abu Dhabi and India. The cost of the project is estimated at almost EUR 1 million.
Romania’s tourism authority (ANT) recently announced the intention to close a deal with the TV channel for the production and broadcasting of the programs, which include a 45-minute film and four 30-second clips. The broadcasting period will be from February to May 2015.
The documentary should promote Bucharest as a city break destination and the city’s main tourist attractions.
