No food, holiday vouchers for public employees in Romania
Employees working in public institutions may not receive food vouchers, bonuses, or holidays vouchers in 2016 either, according to an emergency ordinance that could be approved by the Government.
They will receive only free time for additional work, reports local Mediafax.
The public institutions’ budgets for 2016 don’t include money for granting holiday or food vouchers to public employees, reads the emergency ordinance.
Bogdan Hossu, president of the National Trade Union Confederations Alfa, said that such a decision would be abnormal because the state hasn’t granted these rights in the last seven years either.
