Norwegian Bugge Wesseltoft to play the piano for the first time in Romania in June

Norwegian pianist Bugge Wesseltoft (in picture) will hold two concerts in Romania this June. The first one is scheduled for June 11 at Sala Atelier of the Bucharest National Theatre (2, Nicolae Balcescu Bldv.), while on June 12 the pianist will perform at the Green Hours Garden (120, Calea Victoriei St.), also in the Romanian capital city.

Bugge Wesseltoft was born in Porsgrunn on Ferbuary 1, 1964 and is a Norwegian jazz musician, pianist, composer and producer. In the 1990s, Bugge made a transition from Nordic jazz traditions exemplified by the ECM record label to a style sometimes referred to as "future jazz" or nu jazz. He has played with Jan Garbarek, Arild Andersen, Terje Rypdal or Jon Christensen. More about the artist.

Bugge Wesseltoft's concert at Sala Atelier will be opened by the young Romanian Cadmiel Botac. The price of tickets for the event is of RON 50. Tickets can be purchased from the Bucharest National Theatre box office.
