Over 17,000 Romanian students to buy new computers through national program
The Romanian Ministry of Education has recently published the list of the 17.129 students who will benefit this year from financial aid to purchase a new computer.
The vouchers were distributed between June 24 and July 30, and the actual acquisition will be made until August 31, reports local Agerpres. Each voucher has a value of EUR 200.
To benefit from this financial aid, the students must be aged under 26 and come from families with a gross monthly income of maximum RON 150 (some EUR 35) per family member.
This year’s vouchers are blue. For security reasons, the voucher’s color and series change every year.
The Euro 200 program started in 2004. It aims to stimulate the purchase of computers and help students increase their IT skills. More than 281,300 students benefited from this program in ten years.
