Sorana Mantho is the new Corporate Affairs Director with Philip Morris Romania and Bulgaria, replacing Andrei Vasilescu, who has gone off to try his hand as an entrepreneur after 16 years with the company.

Mantho has been working for the last 13 years in legal management for companies in telecom and heavy industry. She was promoted from the senior counsel position with Philip Morris Romania and Bulgaria, where she has led the legal department for the last five years.

Philip Morris Romania produces cigarettes under the brands Marlboro, L&M, Parliament and Virginia Slims at a factory in Otopeni, near Bucharest. In 2010, it exceeded the EUR 500 million turnover threshold in Romania. Out of its 800 Romanian employees, 500 work in the Otopeni factory.
