Raiffeisen Bank Romania clients pay EUR 31.8 mln worth of invoices a month in 2011
The total value of invoices paid by Romanian customers through Raiffeisen Bank amounted to EUR 382 million in 2011, of which over half were paid through the electronic channels provided by the bank.
On a monthly basis, Raiffeisen Bank’s customers paid utility bills and other services with a total value of EUR 31.8 million. Over 60 percent are paid through electronic channels, such as online banking, Smart Mobile, ATM, direct debit and Multicash.
“2011 clearly marked a change in customers’ preferences towards using electronic channels for payments of invoices,” said Florentina Stilu, Cash Management director, Raiffeisen Bank. Raiffeisen Bank Romania has 542 units across the country, and over 1,100 ATMs.
Raiffeisen Bank International posted an after-tax profit of EUR 60 million in the first nine months of 2011 in Romania, a drop of 29.1 percent on the same period of 2010. Its assets grew by 10.9 percent, reaching some EUR 6.2 billion in Romania.
