Real estate developers Real4You Immobilien and Oasis Development have invested EUR 7 million in a 4,300 sqm shopping center in Giurgiu called Family Center. The project is anchored by a Kaufland supermarket, on 5,500 sqm, which was finalized in March this year.

The developers plans to open three such projects this year, in medium cities across Romania. The shopping center concept addresses families with low and medium income and has already been used in countries like Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Croatia.

Real4You has listed four Family Center projects in Botosani, Braila, Giurgiu and Ramnicu Valcea. It also controls the former Electroaparataj industrial site in Bucharest, which is set to become a Mega Mall. The Mega Mall network is set to feature four more sites across Romania.

Oasis Retail Development & Consulting (Oasis) has a portfolio of 200.000 sqm of retail spaces and plans to build ten retail projects across Romania in the next three years.  Oasis partners Kaufland and Plus in Romania, having developed over 50 retail centers for them.
