RICS Romania resumes autumn courses and events – see upcoming events

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Romania has resumed its training programs with several events planned for the autumn. The next RICS Romania continuous professional development event will be held on Wednesday, October 27, when Bryan Jardine, the managing partner of the Bucharest office of international law firm Wolf Theiss & Associates, will speak on “Legal aspects of Project loan financing, Insolvency, Enforcement, Recovery and Restructuring”.

The event will be held from 18.00 – 19.30 hours at the BPP Training center off Piata Romana at 32-34 Magheru Blvd. in Bucharest. This is located on the east side of Magheru, immediately adjacent to the exit from Piata Romana Metro station, and accessed via the passage between ING Bank & ‘Dika’.

The event is open to members and non-members as well, to register please email Anna Orcsik at aorcsik@rics.org.

A RICS seminar will also be organized in Bucharest on 28 October to assess professional competences and offer information about the RICS membership.

RICS has also planned a series of continuous professional development programs for the remainder of 2010. In November, it will organize a class on “Sustainability, whole and life cycle costing—the ways ahead for the property and construction sectors”, delivered by Margaret L. Moore, BSc, Tutor in Building Economics. RICS Romania is also planing its first networking event, planned for November 25.
