Romania appoints private managers in 23 state companies
The Government will appoint private managers in another 23 companies and will change the rules for appointing state representatives in the board of directors of these firms.
The companies include Plafar, National Salt Company Salrom, Mineral Water Company, 2 Mai Shipyard, the Company for Tourism Investments, Romarm, Mangalia Shipyard, Romaero, and Craiova Airplanes, reports local Profit.ro.
According to the new rules, the state can have maximum two representatives in the board of directors of state-owned companies who can’t be paid.
The state will start the procedures to appoint private managers in 13 companies by the end of June, and in other 10 companies in the second part of the year.
