Romania brings classical music to all classrooms this year

05 September 2014

Classical music will be listened to in Romanian schools starting this school year, 2014-2015, part of the collaboration between Radio Romania Musical and the Ministry of National Education.

The radio station will provide classical music pieces to teachers, together with explanations that will help students get familiar with such music.

The project is called “Listen to 5 minutes of classical music’, and should help children understand what they listen, get to love classical music and diversify their education, rather than be prisoners of technology, said Liliana Staicu, manager of Radio Romania Musical.
