Romania to allot EUR 15 mln to Green House project in the Republic of Moldova

Romania will allot EUR 15 million to the Republic of Moldova in the next three years to fund the fight against climate changes, according to the Romanian Ministry of Environment. This decision was taken after the meeting between the Romanian Minister of Environment, Laszlo Borbely and his counterpart from the Republic of Moldova, George Salaru.

“These funds can be used to implement programs in Moldova aimed to combat climate changes, but also has an economic aspect”, said the Romanian Minister Laszlo Borbely. According to him, in two weeks he will send two experts in Moldova to review the situation and to identify how to apply this type of project in the neighboring country.

The Minister of Environment in Moldova, George Salaru, emphasized the good cooperation between the two countries and noted that the implementation of a Green House project  will bring benefits both for combating climate changes and saving money by reducing gas consumption.
