Romanian aluminum producer posts profit after three years of losses
Romanian aluminum producer Alro Slatina recorded an adjusted net profit of EUR 25.5 million in the first six months of this year, after it had adjusted net losses of EUR 18 million in the first half of 2014.
The company posted its first profit after three consecutive years in the red. Its sales amounted to EUR 271 million in this period, up 24% year-on-year.
At a group level, the adjusted net profit reached EUR 30.7 million, compared to a net loss of EUR 20.1 million in the first half of 2014.
The company’s investment budget for this year amounts to EUR 52.8 million. Alro will increase its recycling capacity and will expand its product portfolio.
