Romanian dealer sells more Ferrari cars than planned for 2010

07 December 2010

Forza Rossa, the Ferrari dealer in Romania, has already sold the planned stock for 2010 and for some models, has even reached the sales threshold set for next year, according to Camelia Bazac, the company's delegated administrator, quoted by Romanian media. The most expensive model sold by Ferrari in Romania this year was the 599 GTO (in picture), worth EUR 320,000 and part of a limited series. The cheapest model is California, which sells for EUR 150,000.

Forza Rossa sold 26 units in Romania this year, while its target was of 25 units and expects the quota for Romania to increase in 2011.  “The number of sold cars grew considerably and we have good yields on technical assistance services, which will be reflected positively in the turnover,” said Camelia Bazac.

Forza Rossa plans to expand regionally and to open new Ferrari showrooms and Ferrari Store outlets.  The first Ferrari store was opened in Bucharest in December last year and the most expensive product sold in the store so far was a Segway Ferrari of EUR 9,800. The average purchase however stays at RON 500 (around EUR 116).

Forza Rossa Romania is controlled by Camelia and Ion Bazac; the latter used to be Romania's health minister. The company's turnover stood at EUR 8 million last year and its profit was of EUR 300,000.
