Insurance company Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari posted about EUR 164 million in gross premiums underwritten in the first nine months of the year, up by 8% year-on-year, while the operating profit increased by 62% to EUR 8 million, the company announced, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Revenues from life insurance recorded a 9% increase in the first nine months of the year. On this segment, the amount of gross premiums underwritten reached EUR 147 million, while the amount recorded in the previous year was EUR 135 million.

Motor insurances (CASCO and RCA) generated subscriptions of EUR 104 million, 8.5% higher than the level recorded in the same period in 2013.
