Romanian online retailer opens delivery points in subway stations
Romanian online retailer Elefant.ro opened on November 11 its first delivery points in subway stations in Bucharest, a first in the local market.
The company’s clients can now pick up their orders from the Universitate, Petrache Poenaru, Basarab, Unirii 1, and Unirii 2 subway stations.
The retailer thus aims to make it simpler for clients to get their products, on the way to or from work. The ordered products are available in the delivery points in 24 hours, or even in the same day for orders placed in the morning, and there is no shipment fee.
Elefant.ro, which launched five years ago as an online book retailer, has also started selling watches, perfumes, baby products, and other product categories. The retailer also opened several pick-up points in Bucharest, Iasi, and Cluj-Napoca, whereas until recently it operated via partners.
