Romanian software producer acquired by French group
Local producer of software applications Kepler-Rominfo, with a turnover of RON 35.9 million (EUR 7.9 million) in 2015, has been taken over by the French group ALTEN, reports local Profit.ro.
The French group was founded in 1988 and makes engineering and development projects for large industrial customers in telecom and services sector. It is listed on the Paris bourse, and estimates revenues of EUR 1.6 billion for this year.
By taking Kepler-Rominfo, which has about 250 employees, the French group will reach more than 800 employees in Romania.
Last year, the turnover of Kepler-Rominfo reached EUR 7.9 million, slightly up compared to the previous year. The firm moved from a net profit of almost EUR 111,000 in 2014 to losses of EUR 11,800 in 2015.
ALTEN Romania had sales of EUR 6.3 million and a net profit of EUR 720,000, in 2015.
