It's not so often that we discover a beautiful, young Romanian voice. And the successful songs that go along with it. But it recently happened. After a while wondering whether the voice, song and everything else are of Romanian origin, we discovered the 14-year old using the stage name Nicole Cherry is in fact a Romanian girl.

By her real name Nicoleta Ghinea, this young girl has an amazing voice that can take various shapes. She chose to stand out with her unique style, which, in all honesty, does not seem to be imposed by her managers. The mix worked. Her debut single, Memories, is already a hit in Romania. It first ignited curiosity – it does not sound like a Romanian song at all. Think raggaae?, think: who is this girl? while listening to this song.

Nicole currently studies percussion and piano at the Dinu Lipatti music high school in Bucharest. She became famous almost overnight and was recently awarded at the Romanian Top Hits gala.

We're curious to see what will come next from this girl – already nicknamed by the media Adele of Romania and the best voice in the country – and in the meantime, let's enjoy her first song (and its video below).
