Romanian tennis ace Simona Halep won the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, her second WTA tournament this year. This is her tenth title as a professional tennis player.

Halep beat Czech rising star Karolina Pliskova in the final in Dubai, in two sets, 6-4, 7-6.

She will receive 900 WTA points for her victory and will return to the third place in the WTA ranking of the best women’s tennis players in the world, surpassing Czech Petra Kvitova.

Halep will also get USD 456,000 for her victory in the Premier 5 tournament.

Simona Halep won the Shenzhen Open at the beginning of January. However, at the Australian Open she was ousted in the quarterfinals.
