Romanian TCE Holding ups revenues on logistics externalization and more international parcels
Romanian logistics and courier company TCE Holding delivered more parcels last year, boosting its sales by 10 percent, after a flat result in 2010. TCE Holding, owned by Romanian investor Octavian Radu, posted a turnover of EUR 21 million last year, backed up by increasing externalization of logistics and transport services. “Externalization is the result of managerial efforts to limit costs, while keeping competitiveness,” said Sorin Sofian, CEO of TCE Holding. However, externalization of such services is still far below the levels seen in Western Europe and the US.
Growth engines for TCE Logistica were international business, post services, merchandising and warehousing services. The company will expand its activity by adding a document storage and shredding business, on a market segment estimated at valuing EUR 18 million for secured shredding alone.
With 45 work points across Romania and two main hubs in Bucharest and Brasov, TCE Holding had to increase its warehousing space to 10,000 sqm to cater for the needs of clients in the car parts, furniture and manufacturing industries.
With 1,000 employees, TCE Holding offers local and international courier services, postal services, cargo transportation, shipping and freight, logistic and merchandising services.
